National Collaboration Director
Caroline is the National Collaboration Director at OneMedical. A senior NHS leader with operational and HR management experience, her passion lies in empowering those around her through coaching, training and mentoring to help them achieve their full potential. Caroline supports organisations to develop compassionate cultures that deliver high-quality care. Her collaborative and partnership approach helps to bring health care systems together to achieve positive and lasting changes.
As HR Director of a multisite primary care provider Caroline has led the successful TUPE process for in excess of 250 employees. She has experience supporting clients in the management and resolution of complex employee relation cases including mediation services, providing representations at employment tribunals, workforce planning and strategy development.
Caroline is an ILM accredited trainer and facilitates courses to new and established managers with a fresh, energetic and enthusiastic approach. She is a regular speaker at national conferences and seminars. Having worked as part of the OneMedical team since 2012, Caroline is an ambassador for the knowledge, skills and experience the company offer.
Outside of work Caroline is a keen runner and is currently training for her first ultra-marathon. She enjoys baking, walking her dog and 80’s music!
Director of Professions
Shaun is an experienced clinician, leader and manager with nearly 20 years’ experience in secondary and primary care. He has a strong understanding of the ever-changing healthcare landscape and has a passion for building relationships with system partners to improve patient care. Shaun is a Registered Nurse and Masters level Advanced Clinical Practitioner with a clinical background in acute and emergency care.
As an executive level leader Shaun has significant experience in both the design and implementation of patient pathways and delivering innovative solutions for service delivery. In his current role at OneMedical he is accountable for the development of the professional and regulated workforce. Shaun is an advocate for multi-disciplinary team staffing models and helps clients to embrace new roles including paramedics, physiotherapists, mental health professionals, health coaches and wellbeing advisors, all driven by practice and population health data.
Shaun has recently completed a six-month Clinical Directors leadership development programme facilitated by The King’s Fund and is an advocate for continued professional development for all health and care workers.
In his personal life Shaun loves to travel and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys learning new languages and cultures and enjoys reading.
Nigel is an NHS leader with significant experience as both, a provider and commissioner of Health and Social Care. As an Accountable Officer of a CCG for 5 years, which he set up from inception, he is passionate about shaping future services and improving health outcomes for patients. Throughout his career, Nigel has remained active as a Registered Nurse maintaining his professional registration and currently works part time for the CQC as Specialist Advisor.
He has an established reputation for successful delivery, for enabling innovative conversations, applying practical solutions to complex challenges and for delivering change and transformation. He is driven by making a difference to the health service and has a non-traditional approach to leadership, focusing on getting things done.
Nigel is a strong believer in learning from best practice from around the UK and further afield, and applying this locally. Subsequently, he has developed an interest in Population Health Management. This has enabled him to help clinical teams to work together, explore areas such as mutual accountability and developing new health and care service offers.
Outside of work Nigel loves to travel and has recently discovered a passion for scuba diving. He is an enthusiastic member of a choir who perform at local events, and enjoys jogging when he can find the time!
Becca has spent over 37 years in various clinical nursing and lead roles within health care provision, a majority of those years have been spent in community or primary care settings. She spent 5 years as Director and Lead Executive Officer of a regional hospice service.
A CQC Specialist Advisor, Becca is a Registered General, Children’s Nurse (RGN /RSCN) and District Nurse. In the past she has worked as a regional Cystic Fibrosis Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and Macmillan Lead Nurse. She went on to become a Quality Facilitator for an acute hospital and Nurse Advisor across a large community trust. Alongside other roles, Becca was a Practitioner Health Lecturer and Associate teacher, leading Palliative Care modules for 7 years at The University of Nottingham.
Becca uses her wealth of experience to support workforce and organisation development in a range of provider services across health, social care and the third sector. She is a Clinical Associate for Gold Standards Framework (GSF) and a Faculty Member of the Midlands Leadership Academy and a provider for the National Leadership Academy, currently delivering leadership and change programs in Primary Care. Becca is an ‘Everything Disc’ Facilitator, a behavioural profiling tool used to support leadership and team development in primary care.
Dr Manjit Purewal
Director for Development & Improvement
Qualifying in 1993, Manjit has been a GP in Yorkshire for over 20 years and remains a Senior Partner in a large practice in Leeds. During his career he has held positions including Clinical Director for Quality Improvement for Leeds CCG and joined the OneMedical Team as Director for Development and Improvement in spring 2020.
He has a strong history of board level and strategic leadership, leading teams, developing clinicians, and sharing insights into portfolio working as a career. For organisations to be successful, profitable, and resilient in the future, Manjit believes that everyone needs to contribute and have their voices heard. He develops individuals and teams to bring out their potential to work creatively and innovatively together. Manjit has a natural coaching style to challenging the status quo.
His passion lies in quality improvement rather than the traditional Quality Assurance or performance management. He was co-founder of the Leeds Institute for Quality Improvement, bringing together individuals from primary care, secondary care, social services, voluntary organisations and patients to co-produce pathways of care. The impact of this approach has been demonstrated in Cardiology, Diabetes and Frailty. He represented LIQH internationally and has presented at the Jönköping Micro-Festival.
